About Dome

What began as Detox Your Dome — a digital media brand that guides non-toxic living — has grown into something you can walk through. At Dome, we curate products that honor both design and wellbeing: skincare, textiles and simple daily essentials made with integrity.

Meet Sophia

Sophia grew up boating on the Merrimack, working on sailboats in Newburyport, and walking the halls of Governor's Academy. Newburyport is a place that made her who she is.

After working as a Director of Marketing in tech, Sophia knew how the game was played — the buzzwords, the loopholes, the labels designed to make you feel like you're making a good choice without actually telling you what's inside. When she got serious about skincare in her mid-20s, she decided to do what most of us don't: spin the bottle around and actually read it. What she found sent her down a rabbit hole of ingredient research, regulatory gaps, and marketing sleight of hand.

In 2022, she founded Detox Your Dome to share what she was learning. What started as a personal mission became a community — now over 60,000 people strong — all looking for the same thing: the truth about what we bring into our homes and put on our bodies. Today, Detox Your Dome has evolved into a full platform: an app that lets you scan products and decode ingredients on the spot, a podcast featuring honest conversations with the founders behind the brands we trust, and a growing library of resources for anyone ready to clean up their routine.

Dome is the next chapter. A space where you don't have to wonder. Every product on our shelves has already been through the spin test.

  • Union of Concerned Scientists

Union of Concerned Scientists uses rigorous science to solve our planet's most pressing problems. From climate change to food systems to clean energy, they put evidence over ideology – something we believe in too.

  • BAGLY (Boston Alliance of LGBTQ+ Youth)

BAGLY has been creating safe spaces for LGBTQ+ young people in Massachusetts since 1980. Through peer support, leadership programs, and community events, they help queer youth thrive.

  • Merrimack River Watershed Council

Our neighbors. MRWC has been protecting the Merrimack River since 1976, when it was one of the most polluted rivers in the country. Today they continue fighting for clean water through monitoring, education, and advocacy – right here in our backyard.

  • Science Club For Girls

Every girl deserves to see herself as a scientist. This Cambridge nonprofit provides free STEM programs for girls from underrepresented communities, building confidence and curiosity from an early age. We're proud to support the next generation of critical thinkers.

  • GreenRoots

GreenRoots promotes climate justice in Boston neighborhoods – protecting the communities hit first and worst, and fighting for clean air, green space, and a healthier future for everyone.

Our Promise

We do the research so you don't have to. If it's at Dome, it's here for a reason.
